Elle se confie sur les origines de ce nouveau projet : « J’ai créé cette entreprise afin d’honorer mon héritage du Sud et en particulier mes grands-parents qui étaient, et sont toujours, les plus grandes influences dans ma vie: ma grand-mère, Dorothea Draper et mon grand-père, William James Witherspoon.Ils m’ont appris à m’habiller et à agir comme une dame, à être fiere de ma maison, de tendre la main pour aider son voisin, et de toujours inviter des personnes chez soi. «
